[Erik] drew endlessly, obsessively, on any surface that was available. If I did not keep him continually supplied with paper, I would find his designs on the flyleaf of my father's books, on the reverse side of his plans--even on the wallpaper up the side of the stairs. My entry for  's Erik at Work contest. Young Erik, accompanied by his dog Sasha, drawing on the wall.I initially voted against that theme; I've done two paintings and a photo-manip of Erik 'composing' and I didn't want to do another one. Then this idea came to me, and I was very grateful. The other title I had considered for this painting was 'Castle on a Cloud'... Lupin/Tonks  I love that part in the book, goes to show how much of an artist Erik was as a child (: Would be very cool if he had a deviantArt as well : D I really like the colours used in this paintings, it really brings out a childhood feel to it, makes us remember how life was when we were kids, I used to draw on the walls as well, except with permanent marker on white paint. : P
