Nobody really knows exactly how many people are sold into slavery each year, but there are estimated to be nearly 30 million people trapped in some kind of slavery today. The Atlantic slave trade, which kidnapped and enslaved Africans between the 1500s and 1800s, brought less than 15 million to the New World, total.

I really like the concept of this, the only thing I am not too keen on is the word 'history' on split up over two lines, I think that spoils it a little.
