Not Quite Family Resemblance

It all started when Missus Mittens told Alexander that he had been adopted. No one quite knows if the fluffy Persian was trying to drive the Great Dane off, or if she was just being uncharacteristically honest, but what happened next everyone was sure of: Poor Alexander, mistakenly thinking that his People didn't really love him, set forth to find his 'real' family...

Don't worry: he went home eventually.


This one actually isn't for a contest for once!
It's just that I think Harlequin Great Danes are beautiful, and really wanted to paint one.
I just wish that my scanner hadn't washed out the shading on the cows so badly.
